The One, Supreme Being - God
Allah is the Arabic word for the One, Supreme Being, also known as God. Whether the English word, God, is being used, or the Arabic word, Allah, is being used, both refer to the same, Omnipotent Being.
In Islam, Allah has been given as the best name to call upon our One, True Creator, as it cannot be pluralized or altered. For instance, the word God can be turned into gods and used for descriptions other than describing the One, Omnipotent God. Whereas the word Allah remains constant, and will always remain constant in singularity and superiority.
Regardless of religious affiliation, Allah is the Creator of all that is, was, and will be. Allah is the One, Original Source, and the True Sovereign Being behind all of creation. His Greatness is far beyond anything the mind can conceive.
"In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, ‘He is Allah, the One;
‘Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.
‘He begets not, nor is He begotten;
‘And there is none like unto Him.’
-The Holy Qur'an
